We believe that it is no cliche that different cultures meet best around the dining table. This is true regarding the different people coming from abroad to see Israeli life, and also for the different peoples and cultures within present day Israel.

Over the years, Israel, with its complexity, emotional intensity and vast history has generated a rich menu of local cuisine - fusing together ideas and flavors from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

We get the delicious privilege again and again of seeing visitors coming to this land and learning of the peoples in it, the challenges, and the proud heritage that the local kitchens provide their guests. From the basic hummus dish to the European-infused entree.

The spices are charged with biblical importance and the people refuse to let their guests go before they are stuffed! With humor, a hunger for learning , a hunger for eating and .. yes-wine. We get to journey through this land and meet not only the historical sites and characters we all know, but also the living standing stones who make this country a "pressure cooker" of cultures and flavours.
